AS SIMON FULLER AND AEG LIVE ANNOUNCE THE
"AMERICAN IDOLS LIVE!" TOUR 2009
Season Eight's Top 10 Contestants Will Perform
in 50 Cities Across
North America
Date Set for Tuesday, August 4 at Verizon Center
at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets go on sale Saturday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m.
Fans of America's #1 show will once again have the chance to catch
their favorite "Idols" performing live in concert, as
the top 10 contestants from "American Idol" season 8 hit
the road in the highly anticipated summer tour. 19 Entertainment
Founder/CEO and "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller,
along with AEG Live, announced today that tickets for the American
Idols Live! Tour 2009 will go on sale May 9th. This season's "American
Idol" top 10 contestants Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Anoop
Desai, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy,
Michael Sarver and Scott MacIntyre will embark on the North American
tour, which launches in Portland, OR on July 5th and includes a
stop at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, August 4
at 7:00 p.m.
Simon Fuller, creator and executive producer stated, "American
Idol gives undiscovered talent the once in a lifetime opportunity
to perform live every week on the show and now the tour will give
America the unique chance to see these newly discovered stars performing
in their own home town."
Ticket Information: Tickets for the August 4th show at Verizon
Center are $69.50, $55.50 and $43.50 (plus applicable service charges)
and go on sale Saturday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a ticket
lottery at the Verizon Center box office only at 8:00 a.m. Patrons
must be in line by 8:00 a.m. to participate in the lottery. A ticket
lottery offers each patron an equal opportunity at obtaining the
best seats available during the public on sale. There is an eight
ticket limit. Tickets will be available through all Ticketmaster
outlets including the Verizon Center box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com
or via Phonecharge at (202) 397-SEAT, (703) 573-SEAT or (410) 547-SEAT.
