Opening August 22, drinx., located on DC’s east side at Verizon Center, is the neighborhood’s answer to the inevitable question of "where to eat?" As the name suggests, drinx. offers an expansive selection of beverages, from beer and wine to custom cocktails and ‘straight shooters’ (non-alcoholic drinks). But drinx. also bridges the gap between bar and restaurant, putting as much thought into the food as the drinks. drinx. cuisine offers a taste for the cosmopolitan along with a choice of down-home favorites. From fragrant to fiery to sweet and tart, chef Brian McPherson creates a menu that is a relaxed, cool combination of clearly defined flavors with a spark of the exotic.

A luminous bar with a glowing-amber mosaic of glass tile creates a vibrant setting for those cocktailing while a glass-enclosed kitchen offers a view into drinx. sizzling-hot cooking action.
