**On Wedsnesday, April 8 there will be a series
of open practices for all four teams at Verizon Center starting
at 11:00 a.m. (doors will open at 10:45 a.m.) The open practices
are free to the general public and open to the media.
Thursday, April 9
Semi-final game 1: Miami University
vs. Bemidji State University at 5:00 p.m.
Semi-final game 2: Boston University
vs. University of Vermont at 8:30 p.m.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m.
Friday, April 10
**There will be open practices starting at 11:15
a.m. (doors will open at 11:00 a.m.) at Verizon Center, which are
free to the general public and open to the media.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00.

Ticket applications are no longer being accepted
for the 2009 NCAA Men’s Division I Ice Hockey Championships
(Frozen Four) taking place at Verizon Center on Thursday, April
9 and Saturday, April 11, 2009. Applications were accepted up through
June 1, 2008.
Each ticket is valid for the two semifinal games on Thursday, April
9 at 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., and the Championship game on Saturday,
April 11 at 7:00 p.m.

The 2009 NCAA Men’s Division I Ice Hockey Championships (Frozen
Four) are being hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy and the Greater
Washington Sports Alliance.
 General Information
The NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship, the second most profitable
NCAA Division I tournament was awarded to Washington, DC for the
2009 season. Verizon Center will play host to the NCAA tournament
that has sold out in previous years. The NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship,
commonly referred to as the "Frozen Four", is predicted
to bring $10,000,000 in economic impact to the region. "We
are honored to host one of the most sought after collegiate events
recognized by fans across the country," says Ted Leonsis, Vice-Chairman
of AOL, Inc. and President of AOL Audience Business and Owner of
the Washington Capitals.

High attendance for this event is on the horizon for Washington,
DC. The Frozen Four has such a loyal following that a unique ticketing
system has been created to honor their commitment. Many fans introduce
themselves or refer to themselves as "Priority" (example:
Priority 5). Insiders know this lingo represents how many years
the fan has attended the tournament and where they will be seated
during the games.
Overview:
The Frozen Four is the trademarked name of the final two rounds
of the NCAA Division I championship of ice hockey in the USA. Schools
advance in a single-elimination tournament from four regional sites
to a single site, where the national semifinals and final game are
played. The NCAA started a women's Frozen Four beginning in the
2000-01 season.
