	<title>Coldplay Live at Verizon Center July 2</title>
	<description>Coldplay announce their &amp;ldquo;Viva La Vida” North American Tour in support of their new album of the same name, which will be released on June 17th. The tour, which will be produced by Live Nation, will kick off on June 29th in Philadelphia, PA and includes a stop in Washington, D.C. at Verizon Center on Wednesday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for Coldplay live at Verizon Center on Wednesday, July 2 are $97.50, $77.50 and $49.50 (plus applicable service charges) and go on sale May 17 at 10:00 a.m. </description>

	<description>Ticket applications are now being accepted for the 2009 NCAA Men’s Division I Ice Hockey Championships (Frozen Four) taking place at Verizon Center on Thursday, April 9 and Saturday, April 11, 2009. Applications are non-transferable and will be accepted up through June 1, 2008 by the NCAA. 	<description>Verizon Center recorded another milestone today as the building counted its 25 millionth fan to enter through the turnstiles, exactly two years ago to the day that the building changed names for the first time in its ten year history. The recipient of the 25 millionth fan prize package, Vincent Mallard, with his son Mateo, of Alexandria, Virginia, received a seat upgrade for tonight’s game to two courtside center seats, two roundtrip airline tickets on Southwest Airlines, Regal Cinemas movie passes for a year, Dunkin Donuts coffee for a year, Papa John’s pizza for a year, Chipotle burritos for a year and a year-long membership to Bally’s Total Fitness.</description>

	<description>Mayor Adrian M. Fenty proclaimed December 3, 2007 "Abe Pollin Day" in the District of Columbia in honor of Abe Pollin's 84th birthday and all of his contributions to the city. Pollin is the chairman of Washington Sports &amp; Entertainment which owns Verizon Center and the Washington Wizards. Fenty was joined by Members of the Council of the District of Columbia and the Office Majority Leader Steny Hoyer in recognizing Pollin. In addition to proclaiming Abe Pollin Day, the Mayor unveiled F Street between 6th and 7th Streets NW, as Abe Pollin Way. The name will officially change after the DC Council passes legislation.</description>
